K-12 ESL Teacher

Fruitland School District is accepting applications for a Certified K-12 ESL Teacher.  Applicants must have an Idaho Teaching Certificate with an ESL endorsement or be able to obtain one.  The ESL Teacher will implement ESL program instruction that leads to English language fluency in both conversational and academic situations;

  •  Support administration of State Assessment
  • Assists staff with implementation of ESL learning strategies; serves as a resource/consultant to staff as needed;
  • As needed, participates in multiple-disciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, etc.
  • Implement ELD curriculum
  • Assess and articulates progress in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
  • Maintains student database, records, ELP’s and all required compliance paperwork.

Certified Base Salary — 2021-22 Salary Schedule Range is R1 $40,369 to AP2 $53,207.  Additionally, employees holding a Professional Endorsement or an Advanced Professional Endorsement plus 24 credits beyond BA will receive $2,000 or employees holding a Professional Endorsement or an Advanced Professional Endorsement plus a Master’s degree will receive $3,500.   Health $683.45, dental, vision and life insurance are benefits paid by the district for the employee. Applicants must hold proper certification or be eligible to hold Idaho Certification. The position will be filled as soon as a suitable applicant is found. All certified applications must include a letter of application, a copy of transcripts, career placement credentials (if available) or letters of recommendation, and the completed application form.
